Operation of WTC's Observation Deck Garners Heavy Interest
Seven companies submitted bids for operation of 1 World Trade Center's observation deck, according to The New York Times.
Five of the bidders have been identified as Montparnasse 56 USA, Legends Hospitality Management, Danny Meyer, Aramark and Anthony E. Malkin. Does that mean s Shake Shack is coming to the top of the Freedom Tower?!
The observatory, which will be NYC's highest and largest, will be 1,200 feet off the ground. 1 World Trade Center plans to install five high-speed express elevators and charge $20 and $25 per person to visit the deck.
The lucrative deck will offer unobstructed views of NYC, Long Island, New Jersey and Westchester and Rockland Counties.
With the potential to bring in over $100 million per year, it's no wonder why 1 World Trade Center's observatory is so highly sought after.
